Sales Manager - Business Transient and Corporate Catering Marina Del Rey Hotel is looking for a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager works closely with the General Manager/Director of Sales and is responsible for promoting the hotel to group business and transient segments.

Responsibilities

Exceeding Guest Expectations – Providing services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention.

Demonstrating Leadership – Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocating sound financial/business decision‑making; demonstrating honesty and integrity; leading by example.

Modeling Appropriate Behaviors – Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

Making Decisions and Solving Problems – Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Driving Revenue Growth – Soliciting new mid‑week and week‑end business, including food & beverage, banquet and meeting room sales.

Directing solicitation calls to local business and prospective leads.

Soliciting and qualifying potential new accounts and effectively servicing and growing existing accounts.

Participating in industry and civic organizations to create opportunities for public relations and new business.

Proactively organizing and booking sleeping rooms and group business.

Maintaining competition knowledge and current marketing strategies.

Communicating effectively with all hotel departments to ensure seamless group arrangements.

Promoting a professional image of the hotel through personal appearance, civic functions, and public relations.

Completing sales objectives and ongoing action plans as directed by the General Manager/Director of Sales.

Providing adequate follow‑up and soliciting repeat bookings.

Completing weekly and monthly sales reports.

Responding promptly to sales‑related inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects, and lead referrals.

Conducting a weekly quota of proactive sales calls via telephone, office appointments, hotel site inspections, trade shows, and networking functions/meetings.

Qualifying and growing existing accounts; confirming group bookings using approved rates; tracing accounts for follow‑up.

Traveling as necessary for sales calls and trade shows; promoting all company‑managed hotels when appropriate.

Responding promptly to requests for reports and other assignments.

Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
