Position Overview The Business Travel & Sports Sales Manager is responsible for driving transient and group revenue from the corporate business and sports travel segments. This role blends strategic relationship management with proactive business development to maximize production from key accounts, new business opportunities, and sports-related partnerships. The ideal candidate is a results‑driven sales professional who thrives on cultivating partnerships and closing business. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a targeted sales plan and strategies to capture both corporate business travel and sports team bookings. Proactively prospect, qualify, and secure new business from corporate accounts, sports teams, athletic associations, and tournament organizers. Actively participate in tradeshows, networking events, and local partnerships to grow market share. Manage and grow existing transient accounts, ensuring strong account retention and increased production. Prepare and respond to corporate RFPs (Hilton LNR/RFP platforms and consortia programs) to secure preferred agreements. Strong negotiation and contract management skills Negotiate group rates and packages for sports teams, ensuring profitability and competitive positioning. Partner with Revenue Management to align pricing and inventory strategies with demand trends. Coordinate with Operations and Front Office teams to ensure smooth arrival experiences for business travelers and sports groups. Work closely with Hilton Global Sales Organization (GSO) and local sports bureaus to maximize exposure. Maintain accurate account information and activity in the CRM/Sales system (Delphi/FDC or similar). Monitor and analyze production reports to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement. Provide weekly updates during sales meetings and participate in revenue strategy discussions. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience; business travel and/or sports market experience strongly preferred. Hilton brand experience and familiarity with Hilton RFP processes are a plus. Proven track record of driving production and achieving sales goals. Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel CRM systems. Self‑starter with a proactive sales mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to travel locally and represent the hotel at sales calls, trade shows, and industry events.
