Design Manager AGS has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Design Manager with 4+ years’ experience for projects specifically in Airport Facilities, Transit Systems, and Infrastructure. The Design Manager should have experience in construction and engineering design of a major public-sector project (preferably with the Airport Commission).

Position is required to work on project site.

Responsibilities

Provide support to Project Manager

Able to establish a platform for good communication and collaboration between relevant parties and provide flow of design information.

Able to identify design coordination issues and mitigate before they arise

Prepare detailed reports, charts, and diagrams in MS Office Suite

Coordinate with the Project Controls Team on Monthly reporting

Provide inspection and field observation reports per contract documents on construction status

Coordinate with client stakeholders

Presentation preparation

Attend weekly construction status meetings

Coordinate and lead tours for tenants, stakeholders and other client selected parties

Assist Commissioning and Activation teams with implementation of Building Activation, including coordination with stakeholders and tenants

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management

4+ years of experience in Design, Engineering, Construction

An all-round basic knowledge of building construction

An understanding of planning applications, City of San Francisco and State of California building regulations, codes of practice, environmental and health and safety regulations.

Experience working under FAA guidelines

Legal, commercial, and contractual knowledge

Software: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam

Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to evolving responsibilities as dictated by the client and team

Independent problem solver

Planning and organizational skills

Ability to obtain security clearance through background check

Ability to understand complicated and technical program

Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical management personnel

Strong written, communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

Experience working in Aviation or other transportation industry

Experience working in secure environments

Experience working with stakeholders

Professional licensure
