Account Technology Strategist

As a Strategic Account Technologist, you will partner with a Microsoft Global Strategic Account and our partners to provide innovative solutions and integrate Microsoft technology into their business. You’ll leverage a strong knowledge of Microsoft’s product landscape, solutions, and strategy to address customer needs, act as the voice of the customer, and serve as an internal advocate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities You will analyze overall customer needs, identify gaps that can be addressed with Microsoft solutions, and lead customer business transformations through digital and AI‑driven initiatives.

Customer and Industry Insights Synthesizes and combines various business and industry insights from the team, global best practices, proof points from experience/case studies, and deep industry expertise related to customers and competitors to conduct forecasting and develop recommendations for managing accounts and subsidiary planning.

Differentiated Value Proposition Acts as the customer’s technology mentor in established relationships with senior leaders including technical decision makers (TDMs) and/or business decision makers (BDMs) at the CXO level.

Education and Thought Leadership Leads customer technology engagement by motivating and inspiring technical resources at Microsoft, partners, and the customer toward business transformation. Delivers regular industry/technology engagements and briefings to CXOs and BDMs to drive execution and competitive advantage.

Mapping and Account Planning Orchestrates internal teams and partner ecosystem to ensure sufficient technical resources for demand generation, allocates resources appropriately, and proactively bridges technology resources with the customer.

Technology Sales: Demand Generation and Orchestration Leads the customer journey into the era of AI by creating a targeted approach, positions Microsoft as a leader, plots foundational elements on the technology roadmap, builds mid‑term strategy for AI projects, and orchestrates execution through specialist teams and partners.

Trusted Advisor Provides account thought leadership in IT, business strategy, and technology landscape. Shares best practices internally and creates security thought leadership with executives, positioning security as a business enabler.

Technology Strategy Formulation Leads the adoption of technologies by plotting the long‑term vision of the customer’s business strategy, acts as a strategic link between Microsoft and the customer, and develops a multi‑horizon technological roadmap to drive consumption of Microsoft cloud and higher customer potential.

Qualifications Required: Mastery of both German and English language (oral and written).

Required: Candidate must reside in Germany.
