Remote Global Commercial Supply Chain Supply Planning Senior Manager
Pay:
$40–$50/hr depending on experience.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a contractor to support global supply planning activities across external manufacturing partners (CMOs) and internal manufacturing site. This role will focus on short‑term plan execution, inventory management, and data management, with potential to convert to a full‑time employee based on performance and business needs. Estimated duration is 6–7 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute SAP transactions including PO creation, subcontract orders, and inventory movements.
Lead monthly inventory reconciliation across CMOs and 3PLs, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with finance.
Design and document supply planning processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
Track and report CMO performance metrics (e.g., OTIF, cycle time, schedule adherence).
Support forecast alignment and PO coverage for assigned SKUs.
Collaborate with Finance Planning on inventory valuation and cost tracking.
Participate in launch readiness and supply execution for new products.
Core Competencies and Qualifications:
Commercial supply planning expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute demand‑supply planning strategies, optimize inventory levels, and lead the S&OP process to drive business alignment.
Pharmaceutical regulatory knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (cGMP, GDP) and ability to ensure compliance in supply chain operations.
Deviation & CAPA management: Experience in investigating deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensuring continuous compliance in a regulated environment.
SAP & advanced planning systems: Deep expertise in SAP ERP, IBP, and advanced planning tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Analytical & problem‑solving skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Cross‑functional collaboration & leadership: Ability to engage and align stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
Adaptability & change management: Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives, improving processes, and navigating dynamic business environments.
Effective communication & influence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey supply chain strategies and influence senior leadership.
Project & risk management: Expertise in project execution, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity and minimize disruptions.
Continuous improvement mindset: Commitment to driving operational excellence through innovation and best practices.
Technical Skills:
Master‑level expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in data modeling, automation, and visualization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and advanced planning tools, as well as Power BI, ThinkCell, Smartsheet, and data visualization tools.
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
5+ years of experience in supply planning, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
Familiarity with external manufacturing (CMO) operations and regulatory environment.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and planning tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Other Qualifications:
Due to the global nature of the role, early morning or evening meetings may be required.
