Radiology Technologist – MedStar Health, Urgent Care We are looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our MedStar Health Urgent Care team in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves performing clinical and administrative duties in accordance with MedStar Health policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Adhere to MedStar Health Code of Conduct and compliance plan; complete all scheduled training (safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, etc.).

Cleans, stocks, and sterilizes equipment and prepares patient rooms for care delivery.

Deliver patient care consistent with policy, ensuring safety and quality.

Manage patient flow, communicate frequently with patients/families, and demonstrate respect for their time and comfort.

Perform patient vitals, BMI, EKGs, vision/hearing tests, and other diagnostic tests as per scope of practice.

Conduct venipuncture, selected patient and laboratory testing (point‑of‑care), and initiate care pathways per policy.

Perform X‑rays, maintain equipment, adhere to safety standards, and forward images to radiologists for overreads.

Assist with patient escort, discharge, and clarify patient or family questions to enhance confidence and loyalty.

Support the medical provider in examinations, testing, and education; administer oral and injectable medications as competent.

Support team members during downtime or bottlenecks in patient processing.

Qualifications

Associate degree.

Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology (R.T.) program.

Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.

Preferred: 2 years of medical office experience.

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.

Valid state license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Compensation USD $29.15 – $51.68 per hour.
