Description As the National Program Director, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the growth and performance within health systems/IDNs, large practice networks and infusion centers at a national level for the launch of two key products in the oncology/immunology therapeutic areas.

The National Program Director is expected to build a high-performance sales field organization while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and a sense of urgency towards the achievement of desired goals and outcomes. Your role will involve managing a team of Regional Area Leaders (3) and Account Managers (30), fostering key partnerships, and implementing effective sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of business plans while adhering to industry regulations and ethical standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and execute the national business strategy in alignment with and to achieve corporate goals and objectives.

Collaborate with commercial leadership to set sales and market share targets and field sales KPIs.

Lead, mentor and manage a team of Regional Area Leaders and Account Managers, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

Monitor sales trends, account performance, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and challenges.

Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.

Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional campaigns and ensure successful product launch activities.

Work collaboratively with marketing and communications teams to ensure product positioning and messaging are delivered.

Assess the utility of marketing materials and provide feedback to the marketing team on new materials to support sales strategy and initiatives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, health systems/IDNs and infusion centers.

Collaborate with GPO and market access account teams, as well as commercial operations and leadership, to ensure successful implementation and performance of business relationships and contracts.

Ensure all business activities are compliant with pharmaceutical regulations and ethical guidelines.

Drive a compliance-forward culture, modeling compliant interactions and strategies for customers.

Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure company compliance policies are followed.

Manage budget and resource allocation, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends and market landscape for presentation to senior management.

Utilize data-driven insights to monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).

15+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech sales, including 7+ years in leadership roles; oncology and/or immunology experience preferred.

10+ years of Health System/IDN management with proven success in navigating complex systems and achieving formulary inclusion.

Experience with biologics/biosimilars and product launches preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Ability to meet credentialing requirements for access to healthcare institutions (background checks, drug screens, immunizations).

Skills & Competencies

Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics and regulatory landscape.

Proven success in managing key accounts, KOLs and executive-level stakeholders within health systems/IDNs.

Strong leadership with a track record of team development and performance.

Strategic thinker with experience driving revenue through sales and marketing initiatives, especially in oncology/immunology.

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting sales data and market trends.

Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.

Benefits and Compensation The annual base salary for this position ranges from $250,000-$260,000. Salary will vary based on qualifications and experience. Additional compensation may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonuses based on company and individual performance.
