Maintenance Mechanical Technician
Automation Personnel Services
is searching for a
Maintenance Mechanic Technician
for a manufacturing company located in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment through hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Pay Rate
$20-22 per hour
Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. (OT mandatory if needed)
Hours may vary depending on the workload.
Maintenance Mechanical Technician Duties and Responsibilities • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute scheduled maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues across various systems and machinery. Perform repairs using appropriate tools and techniques. • Equipment Optimization: Support the transition to automated systems by maintaining and upgrading equipment to meet evolving production needs. • System Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors.
Maintenance Mechanical Technician Qualifications and Requirements • Mechanical Proficiency: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment. • Electrical Knowledge: Experience with wiring, schematics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams. • PLC Troubleshooting: Familiarity with automation systems and ability to troubleshoot PLCs is highly valued as Accent Wire Tie moves toward more automated processes. • Fabrication & Welding: Ability to fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs or upgrades.
Job Type Full-time, Temp to Perm
