SALARY

This position has a base salary range of $76,000 - 114,000 USD Annual. This range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience and time in the role.

As a member of the Enterprise Data Governance Office (DGO), the role supports the effort to mature BCU data management practices including assisting various lines of business with understanding and managing their data.

SPONSIBILITIES

Drives Business Unit Data Governance organizations efforts by creating and maintaining Centralized Metadata Repository content including Business Glossary, Data Dictionaries, Data Lineage, and other metadata artifacts. Enforces Metadata Standards for consistency across datasets. Leads Metadata Management activities through collaborating and negotiating with other members of the Data Governance Organization, Data Custodians and Business Data Stewards. Supports Data Management maturity enhancements of the organization by following the established Data Governance framework and roadmap. Ensures quality and integrity of organizational metadata. Facilitates collaboration between data owners and data stakeholders. Provide training and support for data stewardship roles. Supports Security and Compliance with adherence to all data related laws and regulations. Identifies, assesses, documents and helps with mitigation of data asset related risks. Continuously improves metadata management practices. Assist business units with their data related activities and respond to their data-related questions and concerns. Respond to data-related questions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and privacy. Train and educate BCU employees on data management and governance processes and procedures. Participate in maintenance of BCU data related policies, standards, processes and procedures. Work with Business Units to proactively monitor, measure, analyze, track and report on data quality and data quality issues. Create and execute data quality processes and procedures. Support the maintenance of Data Quality management platform. Maintain performance metrics for the Data Governance function. Q

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, software engineering or related field. 1-3 years of experience working with SQL or equivalent in educational experience. 1-3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst with exposure to data analysis or similar role, or in educational experience. 1-3 years of experience working with a reporting tool preferred. (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.) Ability to work effectively across a matrixed environment. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A natural sense of urgency, initiative and a positive team player attitude reflected in daily work ethics. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented and collaborative environment. Familiarity with SharePoint and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.). Understanding of relational databases.
