Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
\n Continuously monitor the operating parameters of the paint system by processing and analyzing data and information to effectively recognize and identify problems and trends and respond in a timely manner.
\n
Own and complete projects related to paint performance, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
\n
Potential engagement with suppliers and onsite contractors.
\n
Audit and collect data from the various process checkpoints within the paint system.
\n
Create and maintain appropriate documents; check sheets, SPC charts, graphs, written reports, and work instructions.
\n
Analyze trends (both good and bad) and identify problems from collected data and information.
\n
Make adjustments as needed within the paint system parameters.
\n
Communicate and follow-up on issues related to the paint system's performance.
\n
Maintain spare part inventory, complete Purchase Requisitions, Maintenance Requests.
\n
Communicate all paint system process problems to Supervisor, Engineer and appropriate support personnel (maintenance, engineering, quality, etc.).
\n
\n YOU HAVE:
\n 2-year or 4-year degree .
\n
Minimum 1 year manufacturing paint-related environment required.
\n
Knowledge of Pre-treatment Processes, Powder/Paint Application Methodology, Curing Technology, Fixturing (Paint Racks & Hooks), Coating Quality Assessment, and Coating Specification .
\n
Knowledge of how to read analog gauges.
\n
Knowledge of paint defect troubleshooting.
\n
Ability to document processes in work instructions format.
\n
Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards ), etc.
\n
Ability to communicate and network cross-functionally.
\n
Ability to think in analytical terms to solve problems.
\n
Ability to support with training where necessary (i.e. painters, washer checks, equipment trouble shooting...).
\n
Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
