Position Overview
We’re seeking a
Senior HVAC Service Technician
to join our growing commercial service team. In this field-facing role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems across commercial and industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate is a
hands-on expert
with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to ensure every system operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain
commercial HVAC systems
including chillers, air handlers, rooftop units (RTUs), pumps, motors, and control systems.
Conduct
preventive maintenance inspections
and record findings in the service management system.
Provide
repair vs. replacement recommendations
with clear documentation and cost explanations.
Serve as the
primary customer contact
during service calls, communicating clearly and professionally about findings, timelines, and next steps.
Lead by example in
safety practices
, ensuring compliance with all company and OSHA protocols.
Collaborate with
dispatch, purchasing, and operations teams
to maintain efficient service workflows.
Mentor and train
junior HVAC technicians
, promoting quality standards and best practices.
Represent the company brand on-site through professionalism, reliability, and accountability.
Track
parts, labor, and job progress
accurately in work orders and reports.
Identify recurring equipment or process issues and recommend
system or procedural improvements
.
Participate in an
on-call rotation
for emergency and after-hours service needs.
Qualifications
10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
or equivalent senior-level field exposure.
EPA Certification (Required).
Texas TDLR Registration (Required)
for service work.
Strong understanding of
chillers, air handlers, and mechanical control systems.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in
outdoor environments
(heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Comfortable in
moderate to loud noise settings
(mechanical and construction environments).
Willingness to work
extended hours or respond to after-hours emergencies
as needed.
Valid driver’s license
with a clean driving record.
Willing to travel between customer job sites within the assigned service area.
