12300 Join our exceptional team as a: Lead Maintenance Mechanic ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize, a prominent supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to enhance operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. This role involves installing and assembling new machinery as well as maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for a range of equipment. Typical work hours are between 6:00am and 11:00pm, with variability based on business needs. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Supervise and guide a team of mechanics during shift operations to ensure effective and safe maintenance. Diagnose and repair quarry equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and heavy machinery. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance tasks. Oversee preventive maintenance to decrease equipment downtime and extend machinery lifespan. Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Work alongside quarry management to prioritize repairs and minimize production interruptions. Train and mentor junior mechanics to foster skill development and performance improvement. Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure timely availability and prevent delays. Respond to urgent breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs to effectively reduce downtime. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to preemptively identify issues. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Field of Study Preferred:
Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field, alongside training in quarry machinery. Required Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years Proficient in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, particularly quarry-related machinery. Experience in leading a team of mechanics and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic system failures. In-depth knowledge of safety standards and ensuring team adherence. Detail-oriented approach to regular inspections and equipment operations. Proven experience in implementing preventive maintenance programs to optimize performance. Effective communication skills for coordination with management and team members. Able to handle unexpected issues and respond promptly to emergencies. Skilled in maintaining accurate documentation related to repairs and equipment conditions.
