Millville Quarry, Millville, WV At Amrize, a top supplier of construction materials in the United States, we are looking for a skilled Mobile Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring our quarry operations run smoothly through the maintenance and repair of various mechanical equipment and vehicles. Your Responsibilities Include: Diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues on quarry equipment, including crushers and heavy machinery. Performing routine preventive maintenance to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime. Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring machinery operates effectively. Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns in the field with on-site repairs. Conducting inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work for compliance purposes. Ensuring all equipment complies with safety regulations, including MSHA standards. Using diagnostic tools to assess mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs. Collaborating with maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and communicate progress. Welding and fabricating parts as needed for repairs. Promoting a culture of safety by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent; Heavy Equipment Maintenance preferred. 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing quarry equipment. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to operate diagnostic tools for efficient troubleshooting. Welding and fabrication skills to repair equipment. Understanding of safety regulations including MSHA and OSHA. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in outdoor conditions.
