We’re looking for reliable and skilled TIG Welders to join our production team at Raycap. In this role, you’ll be responsible for welding components with precision and efficiency, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Shift: Monday - Friday (3:30 pm - 12:00 am)
with overtime as required
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies
Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from a blueprint
Set up welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness
Visually inspect completed welds for size and quality
Read/Interpret blueprints
Participate in shop cleanup activities
Use job routers to log time
Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System
All other duties as assigned
Has an obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental safety policies and regulations, and always endures duties of high-quality standards
Job Requirements:
2-5 years of GTAW and GMAW welding experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel
Proficiency in GMAW welding, specifically mild steel
Read and understand WPS (welding procedure specification)
Use levels, squares, angle finder, and other fabrication tools
Read a tape measure and interpret fractions
Use basic hand tools (grinders, hammer, level)
Ability to work effectively with limited to no supervision
Ability to communicate verbally
Excellent time management skills
Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or
feel objects

or controls
Reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
Occasionally required to walk, sit, and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Break/Lunch: 30-minute lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by the manager
Union: IBEW Local Union 3 with 45-day probationary period
Benefits: Please reference the IBEW Local 3 Union Contract for all details on benefits
Medical/Dental/Vision/HRA/Annuity – 6 months from the hire date
Vacation Time – will begin effective June 30th, after 6 months of continuous employment
Sick Time – will be accrued beginning on date of hire
Mandatory Union Dues - $7/week, $28/month
Mandatory One Time $182 Union application
12 Paid holidays
