The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring shipments are executed on time while maintaining an organized and efficient floor. This role requires a proactive, hands-on individual who actively utilizes SAP to track shipments, update statuses, and identify opportunities to maximize floor space. The Logistics Coordinator communicates regularly with project managers and internal teams, anticipates potential issues, and takes the initiative to ensure operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, and is willing to assist physically on the floor as needed to support shipping and warehouse operations. Primary Job Responsibilities
Strong organizational and time management skills able to handle multiple shipments, vendors, and deadlines at once. Prepare shipping paperwork for all outbound freight following company requirements/quality procedures Experience with freight coordination (LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments) Knowledge of shipping documentation BOLs, packing lists, POs, and carrier compliance. Uploading Documents/Photos: Proactive mindset anticipates issues before they occur, follows up without being asked, and keeps things moving without waiting for direction. Detail-oriented double-checks paperwork, part numbers, and labels to prevent errors. Proficient in SAP systems for tracking and updating shipment status in real time. Assist with deliveries and pick-ups with various trucking companies Problem-solver under pressure reacts quickly to delays or issues and communicates solutions immediately. Physical Support Skills capable of stepping onto the warehouse floor to verify freight, inspect product condition, or help load when needed. Experience using SAP or other ERP/WMS systems for tracking inventory, creating shipments, and updating delivery status. Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Job Requirements
Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, dispatching, or warehouse coordination. Experience utilizing a computer for tracking, documenting, researching projects/shipment information Proven experience coordinating LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments with multiple carriers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for managing shipment schedules, logs, and communication. Familiarity with BOLs, POs, packing lists, routing guides, and carrier compliance. Competencies
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to addressing logistics challenges. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and bend frequently without issue Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production environment Shift: First Shift. Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm BREAK/LUNCH: 30-minute lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by manager UNION: IBEW Local Union 3 BENEFITS: Please reference the IBEW Local 3 Union Contract for details on all benefits.
