The Institutional Products team at Coinbase is dedicated to building and upkeeping a robust suite of products for institutional clients of varying scales. This includes offerings like Prime - Custody Only, Prime Web3 Wallet, Commerce, and Exchange. No matter the needs—be it trading, staking, governance, custody, web3 operations, or API integrations—Coinbase Institutional has the solutions. Core Responsibilities: Design secure, high-reliability services to facilitate blockchain integration and incorporate new cryptocurrency assets within various Coinbase business units like Pro and Custody. Develop UI components for mobile and web applications utilizing TypeScript, React, and React Native, employing tools such as Linaria for styling and Percy for visual regression testing. Create a user-friendly interface for digital currency applications by enhancing existing cryptocurrency functions (i.e. staking, voting, prediction features). Develop infrastructure services that ensure secure storage, accounting, and transactional capabilities for safe asset transfers. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps. Foster a positive atmosphere in meetings and interactions, ensuring inclusivity and team engagement. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on developing web applications and launching user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React. Proven experience in producing user-facing features with component-based UI frameworks. Solid understanding of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, with emphasis on performance, security, and user experience. Experience working collaboratively with product and design teams throughout their lifecycles. Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code tailored to customer needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within front-end teams in the finance or security sectors. At least 1 year of experience developing React Native mobile applications or transitioning existing native apps to React Native. Compensation and Benefits: Job #: GIFE05US Salary Range: $186,065 - $218,900 USD, depending on work location, alongside a target bonus and comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
