Legal Assistant position for a Birmingham personal injury law firm. Candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks, maintain deadlines and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to attorneys
Effectively communicate with courts, clients, and colleagues
Effectively calendar and manage hearing dates and deadlines
Facilitate phone calls, messages, and redirect calls
Draft and review pleadings
Submit and manage e-filings
Prepare and send out correspondence
Manage incoming and outgoing mail
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an assistant
Familiarity with civil pleadings
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
