Regional Fire Protection is looking for Fire Alarm Technicians to join our team!

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Investigation and Drug Test

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Minimum of Three (3) years of related experience with fire alarm systems, to include programming. (Fire-Lite, Honeywell, Silent Knight and Potter)

Knowledge and understanding of NFPA 72 codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation

Ability to diagnosis and troubleshoot fire alarm, security and access control systems

Experience with security, CCTV, and access control systems a plus (CDVI, Qolsys, HID, Hikvision

IT experience is a plus

Overview:

Preparing reports according to NFPA 72 standards. Assisting in the installation of fire alarm & mass notification system devices, and radio transmitters.

Special Consideration will be provided to those who have additional skills in:

General Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Systems

Fire Alarm, Security, and Access Control

NICET Certification

Low voltage license (MD, WV, and PA)

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Diagnose problem and perform minor repairs found on the fire alarm, Security and Access Control systems

Rotating on-call schedule

Determine materials and help maintain inventory as required for timely work completion

Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, building managers, and other customer representatives

Service, troubleshoot, and install fire alarm systems

Maintain records by documenting services performed

Perform service/installation activities mainly on fire alarm systems, but also not limited to security alarm systems, CCTV, data, telephone, pa systems and card access

Evaluation and diagnosis equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems

Effectively service panels

Coordinate rescheduling of any services with service dispatcher and customer to ensure total customer satisfaction
