Position Description: Quality Reliability Engineer
RLE International is seeking Quality/Reliability Engineers to work on-site at customer locations in Dearborn, MI. The position involves implementing powertrain business plans to ensure suppliers meet corporate launch, quality, and warranty metrics, among other responsibilities.
Position Description:
• Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues. • Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations • Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e.Q1) • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP) • Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery • Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
