Currently seeking a
Buyer Assistant
for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in
Seabrook, NH . Job Description: Pay:
$25/hour to start Assignment:
12-month contract with potential for extension based on performance and budget Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Onsite) Responsibilities
Maintain data accuracy and inventory parameters
– Ensure integrity of operating system data, including product master fields, lot sizes, safety stocks, lead times, and other key parameters. Monitor raw material inventories, validate supplier deliveries, and apply PFEP principles to optimize stock levels. Coordinate and execute material planning and procurement
– Translate demand requirements into manufacturing and purchasing plans. Review MRP and BEDIA data, issue purchase orders, track carrier status, and collaborate with Planners, Production Supervisors, and Quality teams to resolve supply or quality issues. Support operational excellence and continuous improvement
– Adhere to production and inventory control policies, maintain documentation and databases, generate required orders and reports, and contribute to quality and lean manufacturing initiatives. Participate in 5S, problem-solving, and cost-reduction activities. Qualifications
Education/Experience:
HS Diploma or GED
with 1–2 years
of buying, purchasing, planning, or supply chain experience;
OR Associate’s degree
in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management with
1+ year
of experience;
OR Bachelor’s degree
in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management ( no experience required );
OR APICS certification (CPIM)
( no experience required ).
Strong data entry and document management skills to ensure accuracy in purchasing and supply chain documentation. 2–3 years
of MRP/DRP planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
preferred . Strong PC skills, including
Excel ,
PowerPoint ,
Notes , and general reporting tools.
