TS/SCI Position
We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer with hands-on experience across the Systems Engineering & Integration Lifecycle (e.g., Architecture, Requirements, CONOPS, Integration, Test, Transition) and an understanding of IT and cloud-based technologies to support a variety of enterprise transformation initiatives across GEOINT mission systems and projects. The ideal candidate has familiarity with the GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) Architecture and will bring a critical-thinking mindset to strategic enterprise architecture and technical planning, engineering analyses, and cross-organization coordination and integration activities to modernize the GEOINT architecture and advance GEOINT mission capabilities. Location: Chantilly, VA / Patriot Ridge (Springfield, VA) Duties
Perform architecture gap analysis and develop the Future State Enterprise Architecture. Conduct engineering analyses to inform GEOINT Mission and IT capability investment decisions in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture baseline. Conduct baseline analysis, driving allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs and end-to-end traceability of requirements, architecture, etc. Help advance NGA's multiple cloud acquisition, through enterprise architecture and requirements activities. Identifies and documents associated Risks, Issues, and Opportunities. Capture and translate mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions. Perform systems integration activities across organizations; participate in integrated project teams, driving the development of project plans, architecture and engineering artifacts (e.g., CONOPS), roadmaps / schedules, Risks, etc. Participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments. Participate in NGA Governance, Configuration Management, and Risk Management processes. Help define modernized system integration processes, driving enhanced adoption of agile practices and digital engineering, efficiencies, and increased partnerships across a large number of organizations. Required Skills & Experience:
6+ to 12 yrs experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM discipline. Six (6) years of experience as a Cloud Architect may be considered in lieu of a degree. Mid-level working experience in cloud-based systems architecting. Desired Skills & Experiences:
Experience / working knowledge of the GEOINT TCPED Architecture (Data Providers, Systems / Services, Interfaces, Data Flows). Experience with agile project management tools, such as Jira and Confluence. Cloud Certification(s). Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification(s).
