About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership and management of all financial and business affairs. The CFO will be the senior officer responsible for ensuring the fiscal integrity, operational excellence, and long-term financial sustainability of the institution, in alignment with its Christian mission and values. This role involves close collaboration with the President, Senior Leadership Team, and the Board of Trustees to strengthen the financial health of the University while advancing academic excellence, student success, and institutional stewardship.
Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a background in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, with a preference for an MBA or advanced degree. A minimum of five years' progressive financial leadership experience, particularly in higher education or a comparable nonprofit organization, is required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic financial planning, complex budgeting, and organizational management, and be familiar with nonprofit accounting standards, ERP systems, and higher education regulatory compliance. Essential skills include excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities, as well as a collaborative and mission-driven leadership style. The CFO will also be responsible for business operations oversight, risk management, and compliance, and must demonstrate a deep commitment to the mission and values of Christian higher education.
