Essentia
Essentia is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced fiber construction Project Manager to join our PMO. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fiber construction project management and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple construction and engineering projects end-to-end, including site acquisition, engineering, permitting, construction, and closeout.
Deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting contract specifications.
Lead internal and external project meetings, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Serve as the customer-facing entitlement lead, providing subject-matter expertise on municipal codes and federal/state telecom regulations.
Oversee permitting and construction processes and ensure all requirements meet municipal and statewide requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, inspectors, zoning staff, councils, and community stakeholders. Represent Essentia in public meetings to secure zoning approvals.
Manage internal processes and work with department leaders that manage external vendors and subcontractors, while holding them accountable for timelines, deliverables, and cost control.
Partner cross-functionally within Essentia to resolve permitting, zoning, and construction issues.
Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring timely distribution of deliverables and quality control.
Escalate critical issues when needed to prevent delays.
Requirements
Direct experience managing construction projects is required. Strong background in permitting and zoning processes. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Google Earth and municipal GIS tools is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S.
