Air Export Coordinator | Itasca, Illinois | Hybrid work schedule The Air Export Coordinator will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of international air export shipments from start to finish. This includes booking cargo, preparing documentation, coordinating with airlines and overseas agents, and ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of air export shipments, including booking, scheduling, and tracking. Prepare and review export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, and airway bills. Communicate daily with customers, airlines, overseas agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment handling. Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, and U.S. export control regulations. Manage rate quotations and spot pricing requests in collaboration with the sales and operations teams. Handle cargo insurance requests, billing, and shipment cost verification. Provide proactive customer service updates and resolve shipment-related issues promptly. Maintain accurate data entry in the companys Transportation Management System (TMS). Support continuous improvement initiatives within the export operations team. Experience
3+ years of experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment (required). High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Strong knowledge of export documentation and compliance requirements. Familiarity with Cargowise, Magaya, or similar logistics software (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Qualified candidates will have
