I&E Technician, Sulphur Midstream

The Instrumentation & Electrical Technician will be based out of Sulphur, LA and is primarily responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of Company assets located in and around the geographic area. The position will calibrate and inspect measurement equipment, conduct routine terminal maintenance, eliminate and report product leaks, seeps, and spills, as well as assist with construction, maintenance and mechanical integrity projects at the terminal. The position will maintain qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT, PHMSA, and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment.

Responsibilities May Include: Perform routine maintenance, installation, and integration of various types of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, and final drive elements Make repairs to electrical power, motor, and motor control circuits. Develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested Field fault analysis determines if an instrument has failed or if it is a process problem Field calibration of instrumentation utilizing proper test equipment Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc. Instrumentation to include pneumatic, electronic, and digital equipment Fault analysis of hard wire relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 4160V, 3phase), and common utility/lighting circuits Installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design & load Fault analysis of PLC-based systems with control logic modification, if required Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment. Maintaining technical and administrative records, including prints and project reports. Responding to emergencies and participate in emergency response and driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility. Supervising, directing, and training contract crews and participating in Safety Action Plans. Reading and understanding P&ID's (process and instrumentation diagrams). Basic PLC Troubleshooting On call duties for I&E and operational issues. Assist with truck rack operational duties as needed. Required Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the job posting country High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Must maintain a valid driver's license Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC); information can be found at Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations: To climb up to 60 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders/ Manlifts. To lift up to 45 pounds To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time, to sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands To travel up to 15% of the time and respond to emergency calls as needed To work overtime on an as-needed basis To work alone a high percentage of the time To work with chemicals and bases and wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection) To maintain face so that a respirator / face mask can seal properly, i.e. to be clean shaven (facial hair) To work outside in harsh weather conditions To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat To perform firefighting duties Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in electrical maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics 4 or more years of relevant Industry experience (Midstream, Pipelines or Terminals) or Military experience 4 or more years of experience working with electrical power and components, digital and analog circuitry, or OMNI flow computer
