Duties and Responsibilities
Healthcare/Hospital Project Experience Preferred Pre-Design Engineering
Review existing as-built drawings. Conduct field investigations. Set up drawings and models across multiple disciplines. Coordinate design efforts, schedules, and deliverables with team members. Perform feasibility studies and prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
Perform energy calculations using
EnergyPro
or
IES VE . Develop
single-line diagrams
and
load schedules . Design
lighting systems , including selection and controls. Design
normal, emergency, and renewable power systems . Conduct
Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies . Experience with
low-voltage building systems
(Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus.
Design Complexity
Apply standard engineering techniques to perform routine design tasks. Complete basic engineering calculations. Prepare construction estimates and specifications for smaller projects. Independently prepare concise technical reports.
Construction Administration
Review submittals and support project delivery during construction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
or a related field. EIT Certification
preferred. LEED Accreditation
is a plus.
Technical Knowledge
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite ,
AutoCAD , and
Revit . Working knowledge of
California Building Code
and
National Electrical Code . HCAI
experience preferred. Experience with
Net Zero Energy/Carbon
projects is a plus.
