Monarch Landscape Companies' Sustainable Solutions Group (SSG) specializes in invasive plant management, habitat restoration, NGPA (Native Growth Protection Area) rehabilitation, and retention/detention pond maintenance throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team as Habitat Restoration Specialists. This role is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor work, environmental stewardship, and hands-on restoration of natural spaces.

Experience Habitat restoration or landscape experience preferred, but not required (training provided). Licenses / Certifications
Valid state driver's license strongly preferred. Washington State Pesticide Applicator License preferred (or willingness to obtain). Skills & Abilities
Apply common-sense problem solving to field conditions. Work effectively in standardized situations with occasional variability. Communicate clearly with crew members and managers in English (bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred). Strong commitment to high-quality work and environmental stewardship. Safely operate commercial landscape and restoration equipment (hand tools, power tools, backpack sprayers, brush cutters, wheelbarrows, chipper, stump grinder, compact tractors, etc.). Complete assigned tasks on time with attention to detail and safety. Essential Duties
Perform habitat restoration tasks, including: Native plant installation and care.
Mulching and soil preparation. Noxious/invasive weed identification and control (manual, mechanical, and chemical methods).
Safely operate restoration and landscape equipment such as brush cutters, chainsaws, backpack blowers, sprayers, ditch witch, tractors, and bobcats. Assist with training and mentoring of crew members. Promote and maintain safe working conditions in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Develop positive working relationships with managers, team members, and clients. Show up on time, follow company dress/PPE guidelines, and complete daily assignments efficiently. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Frequent lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working on uneven, narrow, or slippery surfaces. Regular use of hands and tools requiring fine motor skills. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work Environment
Outdoor work in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.). Frequent exposure to loud equipment noise. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, or herbicides (PPE provided). Regular use of mechanical equipment such as brush cutters, compact machinery, and sprayers. Total Rewards
