Summary:
Coordinates all aspects of unit staffing, scheduling and timekeeping for Nursing departments. Responsible for the administration of records required for payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
1. Acts as a resource for Nursing Mangers & House Managers to staff the hospital as needed. 2. Monitors timecards for Nursing utilizing Kronos system for completion and accuracy, assist managers with weekly payroll timecard audits, missing punches and all other inquiries from staff and managers. Ensures timecard processing is in accordance with applicable policies, regulations and CBAs. 3. Recommends and schedules float personnel and unit based personnel to fill vacancies utilizing Kronos scheduling and inputs shifts based on job assignments. 4. Develops, organizes and distributes all management reports related to staffing and scheduling as requested. 5. Performs various clerical duties. 6. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all time as observed by peers and management. 7. Overnight medical records collections. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
Other Information:
Required: HS diploma or equivalent, and 1 year related experience, such as data entry/scheduling in a healthcare environment or staffing in a clinical healthcare setting. Working knowledge of hospital payroll system.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
