Liberty School District is seeking a dependable and safety-focused
Type 2 Driver
to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. It is anticipated to be a minimum of 3.5 hours/day. Medical, dental, and retirement benefits will be available.
INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN: Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license, with 5 years' prior driving experience (No CDL required) Successful criminal background clearance Valid first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Commitment to student safety and confidentiality PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Safely operate a district vehicle (capacity of fewer than 10 passengers, including the driver) on assigned routes and schedules Transport students to and from school, field trips and extracurricular activities as assigned Maintain order and enforce safety rules to ensure the safety of all passengers Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or safety incidents to the Transportation Supervisor promptly Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes and passenger counts Follow all federal, state and district transportation policies and procedures Provide courteous and professional service to students, parents and school staff
