Job Title: Mechanical Engineer, PE

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer, PE to lead and coordinate projects, interface with clients and project managers, and oversee technical work to ensure deliverables are met. This role involves checking QA on the backend, sealing jobs for construction, scoping and estimating new work, and likely traveling to project sites.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate engineering projects.

Interface with clients and project managers to gather project details.

Oversee technical work to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Conduct QA checks on the backend of projects.

Seal jobs for turnover to construction teams.

Scope and estimate new work opportunities.

Travel to project sites as required.

Essential Skills

Experience with piping, Revit, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.

Familiarity with oil & gas, HVAC, and equipment/plant design.

Proficiency in designing piping systems, including water and steam systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

8 minimum years of experience, with a preference for 15-20 years.

Experience with pulp and paper industry design.

Proficiency in Cesar or AutoPipe software.

Familiarity with Carrierhat or Revit for HVAC design.

Work Environment

This position is based in our office located in Knoxville, TN, with an average travel requirement of one day a week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.12/hr.
