X-Ray Technologist

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the

X-Ray Technologist

performs diagnostic radiologic procedures for the evaluation of pathological conditions as ordered by a physician. The technologist ensures optimal image quality, patient safety, and adherence to department protocols while demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures and explain processes clearly. Review clinical data and perform appropriate imaging exams. Set up procedure rooms, replenish supplies, and maintain equipment readiness. Perform imaging using proper positioning and radiation protection techniques (ALARA). Administer contrast media as required and monitor for potential reactions. Ensure accurate image acquisition and timely upload to

PACS

and completion in

RIS . Uphold patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards. Assist in onboarding or mentoring students and new staff. Demonstrate hospital values through professionalism, teamwork, and respect. Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of an

Accredited Radiologic Technology Program ARRT (R)

— active or registry eligible (must obtain within 6 months if eligible) BLS (AHA)

— required Minimum

1 year of recent X-Ray experience

preferred Must meet all continuing education requirements Work Environment:

Acute hospital setting; may work in fixed units, IPD, OR, or ER Exposure to radiation and infectious materials possible (with proper precautions) May involve lifting/moving patients and equipment (>10 lbs occasionally) Interested? Apply today or contact
