Interventional Radiology Technologist

Neurosurgery/Neuroscience

background in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in neuro IR procedures and the flexibility to work closely with physicians in a collaborative, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities

Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring diagnostic image quality. Assist interventional radiologists during neuro and vascular procedures. Administer oral contrast and prepare patients for imaging exams. Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and medication security. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure patient safety. Operate all imaging systems including CR, DR, and PACS. Document accurately in HIS, RIS, and PACS systems while maintaining patient confidentiality. Support department operations through room prep, stocking, and assisting colleagues between cases. Requirements

Licensure:

NY State Radiologic Technologist License Certifications:

BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), ARRT (R) Experience:

Minimum 2 years; must include Neurosurgery or Neuroscience experience Preferred:

Vascular/Interventional Radiology (VIR) experience Behavioral Competencies
