Job Title: Heat Treater Helper

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Heat Treater Helper where you will play a crucial role in the heat treat process of manufacturing screws. This position involves handling bolts ranging from 12-18 inches and placing them individually within a metal rack for proper coating in the heat treat furnace. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day.

Responsibilities

Transfer screws from the manufacturing building to the heat treat building for processing.

Individually place 12-18 inch bolts within metal racks for heat treatment.

Ensure bolts are properly positioned for coating during the heat treat process.

Collaborate with heat treat operators and assist with general labor tasks.

Essential Skills

Experience in general production, racking, or construction.

Ability to perform tasks involving general labor and packaging.

Proven attendance record from previous employers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in unloading and handling large materials.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

You will work in a state-of-the-art Heat Treat facility, standing for up to 12 hours during weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. The environment includes temperature-controlled racking rooms currently under construction. Shifts are available during the day on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 11 pm, and at night on Friday and Saturday from 11 pm to 11 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $22.50/hr.
