We are seeking a dynamic Staff IT Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and enterprise modeling platforms. This role will focus on Anaplan, Pigment, and other planning technologies that support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and scenario modeling.

You will act as the bridge between Finance and Technology, driving scalable solutions that enhance decision-making, streamline planning processes, and enable advanced financial modeling across the enterprise. You will play a pivotal role in transforming financial planning at a global, fast-growing organization by collaborating with Finance leaders to drive smarter decisions, and grow your career at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Strategy.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Palo Alto for our hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

Own the product vision and roadmap for FP&A and planning platforms (Anaplan, Pigment, and future tools)

Partner with Finance leaders (FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, Operations) to understand business needs and translate them into planning models, processes, and system features

Lead solution design and delivery, including requirements, modeling, testing, deployment, and change management

Drive the development of robust financial models (forecasting, budgeting, workforce planning, scenario analysis, profitability modeling, etc)

Ensure seamless integration with ERP, data warehouse, and reporting platforms to support a unified data ecosystem

Collaborate with IT, Finance, and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions

Define and track KPIs to measure effectiveness, adoption, and business value of planning solutions

Provide training and enablement to ensure end-user proficiency and adoption

Stay current on emerging FP&A technologies and modeling practices to continuously evolve the planning landscape

Strong customer advocate skilled in being the "voice of the customer" during discovery sessions and prioritization

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)

10+ years of experience in product management, business systems, or solution delivery, with focus on financial planning systems

Strong experience with Anaplan, Pigment, or similar EPM platforms (model building, solution design, or architecture)

Deep understanding of FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, workforce planning, and financial modeling

Proven track record of translating financial requirements into system solutions

Strong project management and stakeholder management skills

Define clear, measurable product outcomes and success metrics

Ensure smooth delivery of releases, managing dependencies across technical teams

Drive continuous improvement of product processes and user experience

Partner with change management and training teams to drive adoption of new IT products and capabilities

Excellent communication skills with ability to partner effectively with Finance and Technology teams

Preferred Skills

Certification in Anaplan Model Builder / Solution Architect or Pigment equivalent

Experience with other planning/EPM tools (Adaptive Insights, OneStream, Hyperion, etc)

Familiarity with financial data governance, master data management, and integration best practices

Experience with Agile product management and iterative delivery methods.

MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB's base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:

$155,000-$304,000 USD
