JR108329## **ABOUT THE ROLE:**We are looking for the **Sourcing Manager** who will manage the supply base to optimize supplier performance, conduct supplier discovery and mitigate supply chain risks in the aerospace industry. This includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of assigned suppliers. A key priority will be the strategic selection and development of the supply base to align with Woodward’s future needs, while also supporting business group-based purchasing functions through strategic alignment and critical issue escalation proces.## **WHAT YOU WILL DO:*** Assess potential suppliers to ensure they conform to category, supply chain, and product strategies and meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements* Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure security of supply, commercial appropriateness, and risk management to generate mutually beneficial agreements that will deliver value* Select suppliers to provide direct material within a given category of suppliers who substantially conform to the category strategy, provide commercial favorability and reduce risk* Manage the portfolio of spend for a given category to include financial performance, plan for every part, and understanding of total supply chain* Analyze total cost structures and implement strategies to reduce procurement risk (financial and otherwise) while maintaining quality and delivery performance to generate best total value for a given category## **WHAT YOU WILL NEED:*** Minimum 4 years of proven experience in Aerospace industry* Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written in a global environment* Works with legal and compliance team to ensure contract due diligence. Assists in contract development* Proactively shares knowledge and resources with the team. Meaningfully contributes to accomplishing team goals* Frames work in terms of financial principles (cost, revenue, etc.). Creates and manages financial reports. Able to use finance analytic tools* Acquires knowledge through experiential learning, as well as other methods, and shares findings or reflections with others* Leads negotiations using appropriate strategies. Negotiation results in positive outcomes for the business and supplier. Thinks creatively to optimize deals with suppliers* Creates or finds appropriate and effective solutions to problems. Uses a systematic approach to solve problems. Effectively implements solutions* Shares information effectively, is able to affect decisions across different audiences using specialized approaches. Sells own ideas by tying them into the values, needs, aspirations and goals of others* Able to distill wide sources of information to stakeholders; uses a wide network of resources and contacts to find appropriate information. Root causes inaccurate information, such as old data or hallucinations produced by AI.* Crafts innovative solutions. Constructively pushes against long-held assumptions in the function* Manages projects and goals with little assistance. Establishes performance standards and measurements for work.
