What you’ll do: Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Eaton Power Connections business is currently seeking a Process Quality Engineer to join our team. We make the electric revolution work by improving power management technologies that are more reliable, efficient, safe, and sustainable.

Our team collaborates with companies to innovate transportation technologies, creating efficient vehicles that travel faster, farther, higher, and safer at a lower overall cost to the consumer and the environment.

Position Overview: This position is responsible for ensuring the outgoing quality of all products to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. Responsibilities include outgoing inspection, first article & PPAP inspection approvals, segregation and identification of non‑conforming parts and materials, directing end‑of‑line inspections, ensuring manufacturing and supporting documentation is complete, and performing Quality Engineering and testing functions daily. The role ensures the facility complies with IATF and ISO‑9001 certifications.

Position will require working on‑site Monday‑Friday at our Carol Stream, IL facility. Relocation is not available for this role.

In this role you will:

Manage external corrective actions received from customers.

Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received.

Manage customer concern notifications and coordinate internal actions to resolve concerns.

Lead all customer‑requested audits: lead the audit, coordinate internally to meet customer needs, communicate audit results, and assign owners to corrective actions.

Manage First Article Inspection Requests: prioritize requests and coordinate with external inspection providers as needed.

Maintain visual management of FAIR tracking.

Generate PPAP submission packages and control plans that meet customer expectations.

Manage, dispute, and generate all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations.

Statistically review product data for issues, trends, and improvements.

Travel as required to support customers.

Continuously seek ways to improve the customer experience.

Support Quality activities as requested.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited institution.

1+ years experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics.

Must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream, IL; no relocation assistance available.

Employment is not available for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Skills in analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement; proficiency in Excel or Minitab.

Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and new challenges in a dynamic work environment.

Experience with ISO9000 and product/process auditing techniques.

Previous experience communicating with Engineering, Tool Room, and Production to promote specification compliance and customer PPAP submission.

Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.

Experience in electrical or electromechanical products.

Root Cause Analysis experience.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

Experience in Quality Management System Requirements.

Ability to manage multiple projects and activities; results‑driven.

Process‑oriented and capable of contributing to continuous improvement.

Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements.

High motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach to job duties.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills.

Good communication skills both written and oral (English and Spanish preferred).

Ability to follow direction while displaying cooperative and positive behavior with co‑workers.

Problem‑solving skills.
