Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves performing essential accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliation, and processing financial transactions. The position is expected to last between 3 to 5 weeks, with approximately 30 hours of work per week. Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Handle invoice processing and resolve any discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations.
- Utilize QuickBooks Desktop software to manage financial data and reports.
- Address accounting inquiries and provide support to the team when required.
- Assist in preparing financial reports as necessary. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Solid organizational abilities to manage financial records effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.
