Support Services Supervisor - Hotel Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Location: Maryhill Health Centre, 51 Gairbraid Avenue, Glasgow G20 8FB.

Working hours: 05:00‑09:00 Monday to Friday. Salary pro‑rata for part‑time hours.

Our community locations include 3 Ambulance Stations, a Decontamination Unit, 12 Health Centres and 8 resource centres with approximately 360 staff.

Role description: This role will undertake the supervision of staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non‑clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with NHS national standards of cleanliness, mop laundering and porter/messenger services within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate staff resources, audit services and input payroll information.
  • Plan and carry out staff training.
  • Liaise with service users and department leads.
  • Carry out cleaning tasks as part of the supervisor role.
  • Maintain communication with patients and service users.

Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.
  • Provide at least two references from current or most recent employment covering the last 3 years.
  • Excellent communication skills.
