Manufacturing Engineer Job at Syntron Material Handling Group in Three Rivers

Overview Kadant Johnson is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes that drive safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Accounting to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and support continuous improvements across the facility. Responsibilities Develop and document manufacturing processes, methods, and standard operational procedures Evaluate machining processes, tooling, and machine capabilities to improve throughput, reduce operational bottlenecks, and costs Support capital equipment evaluations, cost justifications, and process capability development Improve flow, reduce setup times, and eliminate waste using Lean/5S/CI principles Utilize Excel and MRP (Epicor) for capacity planning, data analysis, revisions, and job costing Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions to resolve production challenges Design/define tooling, fixtures, and inspection methods in collaboration with Quality, CNC, Fabrication, and Product Fulfillment teams Qualifications Hands-on machining process knowledge (CNC, tooling, feeds/speeds, machining capabilities) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with Epicor Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Strong problem-solving abilities Effective communicator who works well with cross-functional manufacturing teams Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in machining, assembly, and/or industrial manufacturing environments Continuous improvement and/or Six Sigma experience a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
