As a member of the Amazon One Medical Senior Health Revenue Cycle team, the Medical Coder I will support Amazon One Medical Clinical and Revenue Cycle teams by reviewing the coding accuracy of claims. This role reports to the Manager I, Revenue Cycle. Working with talented professionals, you will help drive financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence through a focus on improving existing and future state operations, systems, and processes.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple coding-related projects and ensure deliverables meet One Medical standards within acceptable time frames.
- Stay current on CPT, ICD‑10‑CM coding guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic Guidance, and CMS Risk Adjustment guidance.
- Assign appropriate ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, and other relevant codes to office visits, procedures, and diagnoses in a production environment.
- Review and complete email requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Medicare Risk Operations team to ensure positive program outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years as a ProFee Coder in an office setting, including risk adjustment coder experience.
- 1+ year experience in Medicare/Medicare Advantage.
- CPC certification through AAPC or CCS certification through AHIMA.
- Complete CRC certification within one year of hire.
- Strong experience with Microsoft or Google suite, specifically spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of health systems operations and reimbursement methodologies.
- Ability to perform accurate and complete chart reviews for ProFee and HCC Risk Adjustment.
- Advanced understanding of ProFee and HCC Risk Adjustment coding and documentation requirements.
- Previous experience in a coding production environment.
- Capability to identify and communicate trends in provider coding and documentation.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Effective team collaboration and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Compliance with confidentiality and security policies for patient records.
- Ability to work independently while meeting quality and workload expectations.

Compensation for this position ranges from $38,400 to $66,800 per year, depending on location. Equity, sign‑on payments, and additional benefits may be included as part of the total compensation package. This position will remain posted until filled.
