VAiLINTRY is seeking a Mammography/DEXA Technologist for a position in Santa Fe, NM. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality Mammography and DEXA exams in accordance with company policies, with a strong focus on delivering excellent patient care.

Direct Hire Position Pay Range $30.00 to $42.00 per hour, This position can compensate more depending on additional skills set that can be more valuable to the enterprise, don't hesitate to apply if you're a strong technical fit for this position.

Duites: Review physician orders to confirm the correct examination to be performed and ensure all required documentation is scanned into the RIS. Obtain verbal clinical history by completing the mammography information sheet/tech notes and DEXA questionnaire. Provide gowning instructions, explain the procedure, and answer any patient questions. Ensure all necessary documentation is signed, including Radiologist Request, implant consent, breast risk assessment, film release form, and pregnancy questionnaire. Select the patient from the worklist or properly register them in Selenia/DEXA and assign the exam room in MI. Position the patient correctly to obtain the prescribed images while maintaining protocol standards and duration. Select the appropriate view/scan on Selenia/DEXA. Evaluate images for quality assurance, ensuring full anatomical coverage, proper labeling, and absence of motion or artifacts. Repeat imaging if necessary. Complete RIS procedures, including entering tech notes, generating Breast Risk Assessment scores for diagnostic exams, marking exams as "ready to read," assigning them to the Radiologist, and entering ICD-10 codes for screening and DEXA exams. Confirm that all relevant comparison studies are available. Clean the exam room after each patient and document it in the daily cleaning log. Review the current study in the system, confirming the correct hanging protocol is applied. Ensure all prior relevant studies are accessible. Review images with the Radiologist for any signs of pathology and perform additional imaging as needed. Conclude the exam by guiding the patient through next steps and explaining how, when, and by whom they will receive their results. Assist in other department duties such as scanning of necessary documents, assist with laundry, maintain supply levels, stocking exam rooms, and monitor machinery for proper operation. Request comparison images when needed. Follow shut down procedures at night Prerequisites Required:

Education, Experience, and Licensure: Specify length and type of formal education required and/or equivalent work experience necessary for satisfactory work performance. List licensure requirements:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Must know the Windows Operating System. Prefer CPR Certification

Must be a graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology. *Must be registry eligible or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ARRT (M) Must be licensed by the state of New Mexico as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Complete knowledge of mammography procedure and techniques. Working knowledge of ACR and MQSA Guidelines. Working knowledge of Windows Operating System. Complete knowledge of operation of CAD machine. Complete knowledge of X-Ray film development and processor operation. Working knowledge of office procedures including patient processing and scheduling as well as XRANM medical records systems. Skill in operation of Mammography and CAD equipment. Skill in acquiring proper images for requested exam. Skill in proper techniques of CPR. Ability to learn and use RIS software. Ability to put patients at ease, clearly answer questions and interact with patients in a professional manner. Ability to maintain HIPAA privacy and security standards in accordance with XRANM policies and procedures in an effort to protect PHI and limit its use to what is considered minimally necessary.
