Overview
Provide support to maintenance and operations by applying a strong understanding of controls-related issues. Follow direction from Engineering to carry out project tasks and act as their representative during off-shift emergencies. Proven troubleshooting skills are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Construct and install electrical controls upgrades and/or control new equipment Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in new and existing installations Assist operations, technicians, and engineers as needed Trouble shoot, repair or replace proximity/limit switches, pressure switches, photo eyes, encoders, safety relays, scanners, cameras, VFDs, motors, and valves Knowledge of 24 VAC - 480 VAC, etc. Conform to standard practices - including hardwired and logic standards Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Modify PLC logic to improve processes and resolve issues Work safely independently or in a team atmosphere Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Education minimum:
AAS in a related technical field or 3+ years in a controls position AND demonstrated ability. Specific concentration:
Machine Controls, Industrial Electricity, Electronics Experience level:
5+ years of industry experience SPECIALIZED TRAINING/EDUCATION PREFERRED
