Shipping Clerk
The Shipping Clerk coordinates shipments, manages documentation, and ensures timely deliveries through effective communication with carriers and internal teams. Primary duties include receiving and processing customer orders for shipment, verifying product availability, coordinating with inventory systems, and meticulously preparing items for packing to ensure accurate order fulfillment. The role also involves packaging and labeling products, navigating shipping processing systems, working closely with the outbound team, and maintaining a tidy and organized workstation. Qualifications include the ability to read and interpret order sheets, labels, and instructions, basic math skills, proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse management software, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, organizational skills, knowledge of warehouse safety practices, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Education/experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in shipping, packaging, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
