Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function • Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders • Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed • Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures • Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards • Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements • Properly stencils shipping information as required • Provides maintenance and keeps records of Maintenance on all equipment assigned • Maintains clean work area • Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures • Participates in TQM and SPC meetings

Required Skills •

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) •

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos •

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals •

REASONING ABILITY:

Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions •

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds •

CERTIFICATES:

Forklift Certification, Preferred •

OTHER ABILITIES:

Ability to work irregular hours
