Job DescriptionJob Description

Calibrates, tests, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, and assists in formulating calibration standards.

Calibrates and tests controlling, indicating, and measuring instruments and devices, such as monochromators, pressure regulators, tachometers, temperature controls, and thermometers, to ensure specified operating performance, using hand tools, testing and calibrating instruments and equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

Figures sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment, according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications.

Prepares standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.

Disassembles and reassembles instruments and equipment, using hand tools, and inspects components for defects.

Measures parts for conformity with specifications, using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.

Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.

Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.

Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.

Writes inspection and calibration reports and maintains accurate records. Sets up inspection gauges for others.

Writes Calibration Work Instructions and Trains employees how to calibrate gauges.

Manages and Monitors gauges for outside or onsite calibration

Recommends and purchases new gauges

Required Skills

Previous experience in Gage Track/Gage Calibration software is .

Must be able to Calibrate Mechanical, Fluid, Pressure and Electrical gauges and tooling

Must be able to communicate with Gauge Vendors

Write PO’s

Interact with all Departments in Facility

Use Outlook and other MS Office tools

Salary Range:$30.00 To $45.00 Hourly

We also have Technicians available for repair, testing and production support ... Support global aviation with your expertise in calibration, precision repair and testing.

Please note: The salary range is based on our market pay structure. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
