About The Position Job Title: CT Scan Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience preferred 6 months Level 1 trauma experience required License: Must have South Carolina license in hand at the time of start Certifications: BLS ARRT RT (R) (CT) SCRQSA (R) (CT) Must-Have: Clienttion badge provided by agency Description: Agency must supply radiation badge. Position/Specialty: CT Scan Tech - 100% PROCEDURES. Daily caseload per tech varies per shift. Shift is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with holiday rotation. On-call rotation is required with staff. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Floating to sister facilities is required. 1 year experience is preferred; first-timers accepted with previous experience. Siemens experience and Level 1 trauma experience are required. All requests for time off must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/unit needs. Facility is a teaching hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Total staffed beds are 865. Daily census is approximately 130 patients. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Travelers must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. Modules are non-billable and average 4 hours spent on them. Module hours are included in non-billable hours. Modules must be completed pre-start and are reported by the facility. Traveler must not have any time off planned that will prevent them from completing pre-start compliance on time. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until the South Carolina license is issued and active. Previous permanent staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning. MUSC prioritizes candidates that have South Carolina license in hand. We can only submit to one unit or campus at a time. If you do submit to multiple job IDs, please mention your top choice.
