Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician *Multiple positions are available ranging from junior to senior levels. Compensation and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated capabilities. OBJECTIVE
Ensure optimal operation and longevity of production equipment through systematic preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and timely repairs. Execute comprehensive maintenance programs that minimize operational disruptions while maintaining safety standards and product quality. Support facility operations through mechanical, electrical, and facilities systems expertise across all equipment and infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Service and repair CNC machines, manual mill/turns, lathes, mills, welders, hones, grinders, polishers, boring mills, and related production equipment
Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC controls and PLC systems
Investigate machine malfunctions through examination of mechanical and electrical components to identify root causes
Execute emergency repairs addressing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize production impact
Install, assemble, and commission new machinery and equipment
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to established timelines for all assigned work centers
Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure, wiring, fixtures, and components to verify functionality and code compliance
Monitor equipment performance indicators including temperature, sound, vibration, and energy consumption patterns
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage through designated tracking systems
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and associated components
Test circuits and systems using diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters
Trace control wiring and validate lockout/tagout procedures using measurement instruments
Service plumbing systems and compressed air/gas distribution networks
Hard pipe system installations using appropriate tools and methods
Identify defective mechanical parts, electrical sensors, solenoids, relays, and related components for replacement
Interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly prints, and equipment manuals to guide repair procedures
Create repair plans based on root cause analysis of system failures
Use precision measurement tools including micrometers to assess part fitment and component wear
Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce scrap generation, and decrease downtime
Participate in facility-wide improvement initiatives and cross-functional project teams
Recommend component replacement schedules based on lifecycle analysis
Suggest modifications to preventive maintenance programs based on equipment performance data
Fabricate custom welded solutions as needed
Maintain clean, organized work areas following 6S methodology
Maintain fire protection and security alarm systems
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years as a multi-craft maintenance technician with substantial electrical experience
3-5 years in a precision machining or industrial manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient operation of hand tools, power tools, welding/burning equipment, lifts, and material handling equipment
Competent with mechanical tools and manual machining techniques for maintenance applications
Read and interpret machine schematics, manuals, technical drawings, and assembly prints
Understanding of National Electrical Code requirements
Familiarity with drivetrains, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, pumping equipment, and cooling systems
Ability to hard pipe systems using standard tools and methods
Precision measurement capability at micrometer level for part assessment
Use electrical meters to trace control circuits and verify proper lockout/tagout implementation
Basic welding fundamentals
Navigate work order management systems and documentation procedures
PREFERENCES
5-10+ years of maintenance technician experience in precision machining or industrial settings
Subject matter expertise in specific mechanical or electrical disciplines
Background as a maintenance electrician
Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering fields
Industrial maintenance training program certification or diploma
Expertise in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Complex CNC machine alignment experience
Engineering project leadership and cross-functional team management
Create custom fabricated solutions without drawings or supervision
Independently utilize schematics for installations, rebuilds, and project work
Generate and modify preventive maintenance schedules
Self-direct task prioritization based on safety and operational needs
Mentor and train other technicians
Serve as technical resource for maintenance department
Lead facility-wide improvement initiatives across departments
