Automotive Controller

to oversee all financial and accounting operations across our dealership(s).

Position Summary

The

Automotive Controller

is responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, maintaining compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial insights.

Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with all manufacturer financial reporting requirements. Monitor and reconcile floor plan accounts and dealership inventories. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and internal controls. Coordinate and prepare for annual audits and tax filings. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate work. Collaborate with department managers to monitor profitability and expense control. Provide financial forecasts, budgets, and performance analysis to senior management. Maintain compliance with state and federal accounting regulations. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Minimum of

5+ years of automotive accounting experience , with

2+ years in a Controller or Office Manager role . Strong knowledge of CDK. Proficient in

Excel and financial reporting tools . Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset. Benefits
