Vice President of Risk Management and Valuations About the Company A highly regarded financial services firm. Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for a dynamic VP of Risk Management and Valuations to spearhead the oversight of valuations for intricate credit portfolios while enhancing our financial controls. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring precise valuations and performance metrics for both structured and private credit assets. This position involves developing robust valuation processes and participating in stress testing and risk analysis initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals and fund accounting teams, is essential to align valuation models and market assumptions with our strategic objectives. Additionally, the VP will have the opportunity to lead efforts in automating reporting dashboards, creating tools for PnL attribution, and supporting enhancements in our ESG processes. Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; CFA designation or progression is preferred. 4-7 years of experience in asset management, private credit, valuation advisory, or structured credit. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and process automation. Strong financial modeling skills are essential. Hands-on experience with valuation systems, along with a background working with third-party valuation providers and fund administrators. Ability to clearly communicate complex valuation and risk concepts to senior stakeholders. A team-oriented mindset paired with proactive project management skills.
