Position Overview
As a
Warehouse Manager at our Elk Grove Village, IL warehouse , you will oversee all branch-level logistics operations-ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate warehousing, receiving, distribution, and inventory control. This is a
hands-on leadership role
with the opportunity to make a direct impact on team performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations
at the branch level Ensure full compliance with
safety protocols
and internal policies Oversee
receiving, shipping, inventory management, and storage
of materials Maintain high standards for
product handling, order accuracy, and customer will-call experience Conduct regular
cycle counts
and support inventory audits as needed Actively pursue
process improvements
to increase efficiency and inventory accuracy Recruit, hire, train, and develop
warehouse team members Foster a strong
team culture
and provide ongoing coaching Collaborate with the
Transportation Manager
to ensure delivery staff compliance with DOT regulations and E-log policies Lead by example with a
"player/coach" mindset
and a hands-on leadership approach What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record 3+ years of warehouse management or supply chain experience Strong understanding of how warehouse and distribution operations support overall customer experience Experience operating forklifts (must be physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly) Proven leadership and team-building capabilities Entrepreneurial attitude with a drive to improve, motivate, and lead Excellent organizational and communication skills Why Virginia Tile?
